Welcome to the inaugural issue of Stickman Review.
About a year ago we discovered a common dream—to publish a literary journal. A decade ago we might have abandoned that dream; neither of us is wealthy, and
magazines—even modest literary journals—are expensive to produce. But today, thanks to the Internet and World Wide Web, we have at our disposal an inexpensive alternative to traditional publishing.
And the makings of a dream.
We did some informal Internet research, experimented with different formats, threw around (and away) a few dozen potential names, and soon the website you’re now looking at
was born.
In our inaugural issue, we’re pleased to present poetry by David Abrams, John Barbato, Beau Boudreaux, Suzanne Burns, Anne Agnes Colwell, Ruth Lepson,
Kenneth Pobo and Laurel Snyder; nonfiction by Bara Swain; a short story by Thomas Pack; and photography by Toni La Ree Bennett and Mark Richner.
We hope you enjoy the Stickman Review. Please feel free to send us your comments and suggestions at editors@stickmanreview.com.
