he said
there was a dairy field
the next field over from him
and sometimes
the cows
would get in. said
one day
he was working in the garden
and he heard
this loud
c r u n c h - a cow
had gotten into the garden
and was eating
some slabs of slate
he'd left out
on the grass
after
renovations. and not even
by accident;
it was walking around
searching for them. he said
he never
could tell them apart
before,
but now
he can recognise
that cow.
